A hit at the 2016 Humana Festival of New American Plays, This Random World explores the many lives that may be happening just out of reach of our own. As it mines the comedy of missed connections, this funny, intimate and heartbreaking play follows a series of intersecting lives: A mother determined to maintain her independence, a daughter who longs for adventure, two sisters seeking common ground, and an internet prank gone wrong. This Portland Actors Conservatory production of Steven Dietz's This Random World investigates what it is to love, to lose, and be touched by the myth of serendipity.
