It's 1953, and few have visited Ballyknock -- a remote village in County Donegal, Ireland -- since the end of World War II. When Cordelia, a mysterious young American appears at a local pub looking for a room, barman Jonty sets out to show her the "seven wonders" of his tiny town. As each wonder unfolds, Cordelia slowly begins to leave her past behind and open herself up to love and redemption. Lakewood Center for the Arts presents the premiere of this charming new work that originated at Portland's Fertile Ground original play festival in 2013.
